These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cover Design App, an AI-powered book cover design service operated by Medialusion Group ("Cover Design App", "we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or credits, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Cover Design App provides AI-assisted tools for generating, analyzing, and assembling book cover designs, author photos, mockups, and related marketing assets. Features are delivered on a subscription basis (Free, Starter, Pro) or via one-time purchases (unlock credits, cover unlocks).
Free-tier users receive unlimited watermarked, low-resolution cover previews. Clean, full-resolution images require a paid plan, an unlock purchase, or unlock credits.
You must provide a valid email address and accurate account information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a paid plan.
Subscriptions. Paid plans (Starter, Pro) renew automatically each billing cycle (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the Subscription page or by contacting support; cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
Credits. Monthly credits are granted at the start of each billing cycle and expire at the end of that cycle; unused credits do not roll over. Purchased bonus credit packs and unlock credits never expire and are spendable on eligible features.
Generation limits. Free-tier use is subject to reasonable daily generation caps and watermarked preview output. We may adjust limits to maintain service quality and prevent abuse.
Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal; continued use after renewal constitutes acceptance.
All payments are final. We do not offer refunds for subscription fees, credit packs, unlock purchases, or any other charges, including for partially used billing periods or unused credits. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. This policy is stated at checkout and agreed to when you complete a purchase.
Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us at support@coverdesignapp.com constitutes a breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts associated with fraudulent disputes and to submit account activity and usage records as evidence to payment processors.
You own the covers and other assets you create using the service and may use them commercially (including on book retail platforms), subject to the terms of the underlying AI image providers.
You acknowledge that AI-generated images are created algorithmically, may resemble existing works, and may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring your final cover complies with the terms of any platform it is used on (e.g., Amazon KDP).
You retain ownership of text, images, and other materials you upload (manuscripts, reference images, author photos). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service. You may only upload content you have the rights to use.
You agree not to: generate covers or assets that infringe others' intellectual property; upload or generate unlawful, hateful, defamatory, or explicit content; use author-photo tools to create images of real people without their consent; resell, redistribute, or scrape the service; or attempt to circumvent usage limits, watermarks, or access controls.
Cover polls, the public gallery, and other community features are provided in good faith. By submitting content to these areas, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it publicly. We may remove any submission that violates these Terms.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may modify or discontinue any part of the service. If a material change negatively affects your paid plan, we will notify you in advance where practical.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medialusion Group's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or publishing opportunities.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, fraud, or abuse. On termination, access to paid features ends; free-tier watermarked previews may be removed after account closure.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
